Passing of Pastor Bill Hollingsworth

Please join with people across the Uniting Church to mourn the passing and celebrate the life of one of our great leaders, Pastor Bill Hollingsworth. In your prayers give thanks for his wise and gentle leadership from the beginning of the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress (UAICC), including his time as National Chairperson in the early 1990s. Pray for his family, for all the colleagues he served with and guided.

New multi-lingual Yolŋu Matha-Plain English Dictionary of Anatomy app

Please see the attached document for information on a new multi-lingual Yolŋu Matha-Plain English Dictionary of Anatomy app that will help Yolŋu and Balanda (non-Indigenous people) work together to improve health for Yolŋu.

Developed by ARDS Aboriginal Corporation, the Rumbalpuy Dhäwu Dictionary of Anatomy app contains audio and text definitions, pictures of anatomical parts, and associated pathologies and procedures in four different languages; Dhuwal, Dhaŋu, Dhuwala and Plain English.

SYNOD 2019

October 23, 2019

The forty–third Annual Meeting of the NS Synod will be held from 
Friday 25th October to Sunday 27th October 2019 at Club Tropical Resort, Lee Point, Darwin.

The opening service of Synod is Friday evening 25th October commencing at 7pm. and                 will be held at Charles Darwin University in the Theatre, Building Orange 3.

The Service will be a celebration of gifts and talents from many cultural groups and congregations within the Northern Synod.
