Current Vacancies 

Riyala is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run, Christian campsite 45 km south of Darwin. Since the 1980s it has been enjoyed by schools, sporting groups, youth groups and churches as a campsite and retreat venue. 

Riyala requires a volunteer site manager/caretaker for 2025. Housing and a small honorarium are provided. Please see position description for Site Manager here

Travel Clerk

The Travel Clerk will manage all travel bookings and accommodation placement for students and visitors to the College.

This position requires someone with excellent computer skills, an eye for detail, the ability to work under pressure (many changes at the last minute are required), and a willingness to learn about the unique environment of Nungalinya College.

This is a full-time position. Indigenous people are strongly encouraged to apply for this position if they have the relevant skills.

Communications Officer

This position requires someone with excellent computer skills, an eye for detail, photography and videography experience.

The Communications Officer will support the Principal and Partnerships & Fundraising Manager in the promotion of the College. The Communications Officer will supervise the social media output and creation of newsletters, brochures and annual reports.

This is a part-time position, 2-3 days. Indigenous people are strongly encouraged to apply for this position if they have the relevant skills.

This placement is to provide ministry and pastoral leadership to the congregation, leadership of worship in the congregation equipping lay leadership, and enabling the congregation to fulfil its vision to serve the Tennant Creek community.

Chaplain

Northern Synod Uniting Church in Australia

The Northern Synod, Uniting Church in Australia is seeking a Chaplain to serve the ARRCS Pulkapulkka Kari Aged Care in Tennant Creek, NT. The purpose of this placement is to provide and ensure chaplaincy services are ministries of compassion – caring for the emotional, spiritual and religious needs of staff, clients, residents and their families. ARRCS provides support to people across the Northern Territory through Residential Aged Care and Disability Services, Mental Health support, Childcare and Regional Home Care services and School Nutrition programs, taking a holistic approach, and a deep respect for all Elders and Aboriginal Cultures is at the heart of their work. This .02 FTE position is for the exercise of the duties of ordained ministry of the Uniting Church in Australia. Preference will in the first case be given to appropriately qualified Ministers of the Word or Deacons. A lay person may be appointed to the role subject to successful completion of requirements for the ministry of pastor in the Uniting Church in Australia.
