Worship Times

Sunday
10.00 am Informal and participatory. Young children welcome and included in worship. We are a gathering of women and men and boys and girls who together share in leading, exploring and enjoying worship in lots of different forms.

Congregation Activities and Projects

Ecumenical Taize Service: First Wednesday of the month at 7.30 pm  Taize is a candle-lit sung meditation, including prayer, chant and son. All Welcome! 
The Labyrinth in our front garden is always open. You are welcome to come at anytime to sit in the shade for prayer and meditation and to walk the labyrinth.
Youth Group:  Young people’s activity-based Bible Study (6-16yrs) Monday Evenings 4.30pm – 6.30pm. Dates – 26^th Feb to 18^th March 2024 and 22^nd April to 13^th May 2024 (2 blocks of four weeks each) the Theme is ‘How will the Holy Spirit get here for Pentecost?’
Op Shop: “The best in Darwin” operates every Friday afternoon from 4pm-6pm and every Saturday morning between 9am and 12noon. If you would like to be a volunteer and part of the Op Shop team, please introduce yourself to Heather.
Frilly’s: Our shaded, outdoor café and cake venue opens every Saturday morning from 9.30am -11.30am. Have some tea coffee and cake before or after your visit to the Op Shop and enjoy the community atmosphere of this quintessentially Darwin space. If you would like to volunteer, learn to be a barrister, serve tables or make homemade cakes for Frilly’s, please introduce yourself to Russell.
Mulch Pit: Our community garden developed using permaculture principles, encouraging Darwin and surrounds to grow food. People are always working in the garden on Friday 5.00pm – 7.00pm and on Saturday mornings. You would be very welcome to come along.
Monthly Cook Up – on the first Friday of each month we have a cook up after some weeding, sharing a meal we have prepared from the food in our garden. Lots of garden tips, fun and food. On Saturday morning don’t forget to check out the Share and Swap table for some seeds, young plants and growing tips. If you would like to know more, please say hi to Lia and the other gardeners. Watch out for the Mulch Pits 15^th Birthday Party this year – details coming soon.

Easter Services for 2024           

• Special Palm Sunday all age worship service – 10am on 25^th March.
• Holy Week – the church will be open each day of Holy Week for prayer and reflection. Monday – Thursday from 7.30am – 9.30am and 4.00pm-6.00pm.
• Good Friday Service – 10am on 29^th March.
• Dawn Service – 6.00am on 31^st March at the Nightcliff Foreshore – combined service with Darwin Indonesian Uniting Church – you are welcome to stay for breakfast and games. (if it’s raining the service will be at Nightcliff Uniting Church).
