Moderator’s Pastoral Note 

Dear members of Northern Synod,

It is with a sad heart to share with you the news that John McMillan, father of Stuart McMillian has passed away this morning at 6 NSW/ACT time.

I was spending time with Stuart, Rose, and others during our prayer meeting when Stuart received the news that his father had suffered from a heart attack. Stuart flew to Sydney yesterday afternoon to be by his father’s side. Together with his brother, they spent time talking and praying with each other.

John passed away peacefully. Please pray for Stuart, Rose, the children, in-Laws, and grandchildren as they mourn.

May they know The LORD is good, and a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him. May God be the source of love and hope, and strength always.
