| Living Water | |
|
Do you have a heart and gifting to work in the community? Are you ready to be given the freedom to exercise creative ministry in the community service activities of our church with children, youth, schools and families? Then perhaps this is a placement for you to pray about. We have a vision at Living Water to reach out to the school communities of our area. Already offering Christian Education into the primary schools of the area the church has also begun a pastoral care ministry in the local high school. We have been encouraged to further develop this caring ministry with the primary schools in our area. |

ARISE is an Outside School Hours & Vacation Care program run by the church for the feeder primary schools. There’s great potential to do more with families. Living Water is thinking creatively and assessing the programs for children and youth. Op Shop has always been a point of community contact for many non-church families. We’d see this placement as giving creative input to developing these ministries. We are seeking a placement with these specific foci. The usual duties of 'minister' in a congregation are not a requirement of this placement. This 'minister in community' position may ideally suit a deacon. For further information email the Secretary of the Placements Committee. |
| Nhulunbuy | |
|
Nhulunbuy is a thriving mining town on the Gove Peninsular, NE Arnhem Land. With the announcement that Alcan intends expanding their operation in the area, another 1500 jobs are anticipated in the short term.
The Nhulunbuy Uniting Church is a dynamic mix of interesting people from a range of congregation backgrounds, many of whom have interests in missions and others who are working in community development and education with Aboriginal communities. |
The town offers good primary and secondary education, with employment opportunities for a spouse.
An elevated air-conditioned manse is situated next to the church, within easy walking distance from the local shopping centre.
For further information email the Secretary of the Placements Committee,. |
